title: Overview
description: The two FreeTicket HTTP APIs, what each one is for, and the conventions they share.
---

FreeTicket has two HTTP APIs. Pick by **who is calling**.

| | B2B API | Public storefront API |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Base URL | `https://admin.appfreeticket.com/api/v1` | `https://appfreeticket.com/api/public` |
| Caller | An organizer, venue or artist operating their workspace | A buyer, or an agent acting for one |
| Auth | Organization-scoped API key | None (one exception for numbered seats) |
| Scope | Everything in your workspace: events, sales, tickets, reports… | Published events, availability, orders |
| Reference | [/reference/v1](/reference/v1) | [/reference/public](/reference/public) |

The [CLI](/cli) and the [MCP server](/mcp) are clients of these same APIs, so the rules on this page apply to them too.

## Core model

A **workspace** is one organizer, venue or artist account. Inside it:

- An **event** has one or more **dates** (sessions). A date carries its own start time and IANA time zone.
- A **ticket type** belongs to one event date and has a price, currency and capacity.
- A **sale** is an order. It has items, and each item produces individual **tickets**, identified by a ticket code (the QR payload).
- **Membership plans** gate presales and members-only tickets.

Money is a number in the resource's `currency` (usually `COP`). Timestamps are ISO 8601 in UTC.
